Pitching In: Week 7

Pitching was crazy in Week 6, wasn’t it? Early season standouts like Martin Perez fell so far it was hard to even recognize him. Felix Hernandez and Cliff Lee scored in single digits. And Kenley Jansen didn’t look like the lockdown closer he was a mere couple of weeks ago in taking the loss on Sunday night to the Giants. But Yu Darvish returned to prominence, Masahiro Tanaka continued his torrid run, and Tim Hudson keeps defying age to post seriously good numbers.

With that being said, here are the pitchers you can count on in Week 7:

10 Must-Start Pitchers for Week 7

C.J. Wilson (@ TOR / vs. TB)
Adam Wainwright (vs. CHC / vs. ATL)
David Price (@ SEA / @ LAA)
Tyler Lyons (vs. CHC / vs. ATL)
Felix Hernandez (vs. TB / @ MIN)
Jordan Zimmermann (@ ARI / vs. NYM)
Justin Masterson (@ TOR / vs. OAK)
Jason Hammel (@ STL)
Ervin Santana (@ STL)
Yu Darvish (vs. TOR)

As for relievers, wow, my recommendations for last week were explosive. LaTroy Hawkins just didn’t get any shots and ended up with Zero points. Francisco Rodriguez finally gave up a run. Huston Street got into serious trouble but pitched himself out of it on Sunday night. And I already told you about Jansen’s problems. Luckily for you, Casey Janssen and Aroldis Chapman are back. Pick both up off waivers (if they’re there) and put them directly into your lineup.

5 Recommended Relievers for Week 7

Sergio Romo (SF)
Aroldis Chapman (CIN)
Casey Janssen (TOR)
Steve Cishek (MIA)
Addison Reed (ARI)

Good luck this week! Stay tuned on Thursday when I talk about trading, because it’s that time of the fantasy season when you should think about buying low and selling high.
