A lot of Survival Leagues have already ended by this point with all of the surprising losses this season. Indeed, a ton of teams crashed and burned just this past week when Denver went down to, of all teams, the St. Louis Rams, who also crushed people when they took out Seattle earlier this season. Lesson learned: never bet against the Rams. Now, how about this week?
Here’s how you Survive…
PHILADELPHIA over Tennessee. Yes, the Titans played some tough football against the Steelers on Monday night and still lost, but going into Philadelphia is another story. The team plays well following a loss, they haven’t lost at home in eons, and Chip Kelly doesn’t wilt under pressure. The Eagles will soar after that debacle in Green Bay last week.
GREEN BAY over Minnesota. Speaking of the Packers, they are on a serious roll, and I like them even on the road against a Minnesota team that couldn’t run the ball to save their lives last week… against the Chicago defense. I don’t count on this game being as huge a margin as the Philadelphia game, because they don’t need to pad a lead here. I mean, it’s Minnesota. But the win is a good bet.
SAN FRANCISCO over Washington. The NFC East would just as soon not have to play the Forty-Niners any more times this season. After San Fran took care of the Cowboys in the season’s first game, the Eagles a few weeks later, and the Giants just last week, they’re happy to get the hapless Redskins in week 12, and I’m happy to go with them as a good bet to take out Washington on the west coast.
St. Louis at San Diego. Yeah, not going against the Rams even on the road at San Diego. The Chargers are coming off a bye, and it might be easy to see a letdown from St. Louis, but they aren’t like normal teams. They put that win against the Broncos behind them two seconds after it happened, and I think they show up here. Three losses in a row for the Chargers before the bye, and this could make four. Who wants to bet against the Rams in this one? Not me.
