Top 10 Players at Every Fantasy Position for 2015

Russell_Wilson_vs_Vikings,_November_4,_2012I’ve been playing Fantasy Football for 10 years now, and if there’s one thing I know it’s value. Whether or not you get that value during your draft is all about careful consideration of each of the players beforehand. Oh yes, and a little luck too. Before you get to the draft room be sure you have a firm grasp on who the top players at each position are, and how much you’d be reaching if you grabbed someone lower too early.

There are two big issues you need to be wary of before drafting:

  1. Perceived position
  2. Previous position

Perceived position means that players who are unproven shouldn’t be ranked as highly as those who are a known commodity. It doesn’t mean that Marcus Mariota should be ranked lower than Jimmy Clausen, but it does mean that draft position shouldn’t be inflated based on potential. The same idea holds true in reverse for those players who have been in rareified air before but who no longer occupy that space. Don’t draft based on history, only on what their potential is for the upcoming season.
